About the artist

Monique is born in Switzerland in 1964.
She’s married and is mother of two adult children.

Her passion for visual arts, and especially for painting and sculpture, gradually led her to devote herself entirely to creative and artistic activities.

She likes exploring and developing new techniques, evolving in her works. She regularly attends courses in the "Europäische Kunst Akademie" of Trier, with professors such as Francesca Cataldi, Mathias Lanfer and Mathias Huth.

Her signature "BenLi" results from her nickname of childhood. "Böhneli" means small bean in swiss-german dialect, which is the equivalent of "sweetie" in English. Her relatives and friends still call her Ben [Bœn], without the Germanic diminutive "li".
